Ren von Hasseln is an Ojai-based, self-taught ceramicist. She started in architecture and eventually found her calling in clay—creating strikingly unique modernist pieces. Designed and crafted exclusively for Crown Affair, these one-of-a-kind stoneware vases make the perfect holiday gift, and a beautiful addition to any home. Each is hand-built by Ren and distinctly its own. There are only two of each vase available.

The Small Bud Vase is a hand-built stoneware vase high fired in oxidation. Half a dozen thin brushed coats of satin black glaze produce a rich, burnished patina.

Please be aware that since these are handmade pieces, the two vases will differ from each other slightly, so the one you receive may vary a bit from the one photographed. Similarly, the vases are similar sizes but the one you receive may vary slightly from the dimensions given, which represent the average of the two vases available.

The vessel is 4.25x4.75” in height with a 1.25” opening.

Care instructions: hand wash each vase using a gentle dish soap.
